Moral Questions in the Age of AI: The Need for a Council on AI Ethics

Описание: AEI will launch a council on AI ethics, which will be led by AEI’s M. Anthony Mills and composed of an interdisciplinary team of experts from a wide range of institutions. Inspired by the President’s Council on Bioethics, chaired by AEI Senior Fellow Emeritus Leon R. Kass, AEI’s AI Ethics Council will explore the moral questions raised by AI and provide practical resources for practitioners and policymakers that seek to balance freedom with responsibility and ensure technological innovation promotes human dignity.

The event will feature a moderated discussion with members of the council to highlight its distinctive approach to AI ethics. A second panel will feature a diverse range of policy experts who will explore the opportunities and pitfalls of translating ethical deliberation into practice.
