Finding PG and Good flat is always challenging in big cities like Bangalore etc
As per my experience I would like to suggest go for Pg if you are alone in the city until you are have good friends.
Once you have good friends here then shift to Flat if you aren’t ok with any kind of PG foods .
I would like to suggest pg are always economical and no need worry about food as dinner is always best other times you might not be at Pg because of work or if you don’t like food order it online .
Also if you are with your partner Coliving is always worth as you can make your meals anytime without any hindrances in kitchen.
