Experience the beauty and wonder of nature with this stunning time-lapse video of altostratus clouds. Filmed for approximately three hours and accelerated 100 times, this video captures the evolution of these middle altitude clouds as they pass overhead. Characterized by their uniform gray to bluish-gray appearance and formed by the lifting of a large, stable air mass, altostratus clouds are typically found at altitudes between 2,400 and 6,100 meters. In the background, you can also see cumulus clouds growing on mountain ridges.
