From Texas sunshine to snowy trails ❄️🐕
Today we spent the day with Pepperjack, a 2-year-old Lab mix who traveled all the way from Texas for a very special play date. After some time to decompress and get the wiggles out, we headed into the snow for a peaceful nature hike along an icy creek.
Pepperjack took it all in — the crunch of snow, the cold air, and the excitement of new smells. Along the trail, we had a surprise meeting with a gentle Newfoundland, and it was pure joy watching tails wag and confidence grow.
Moments like these remind us why experiences outside the kennel matter. Every walk, every sniff, every friendly greeting helps shelter dogs learn what life beyond the cage can be.
