Young adults on our Making Strides programme in Hounslow have designed and delivered a social action project to raise awareness for an issue which is important to them. The young adults chose unemployment among neurodivergent people.
They said:
“We are the pioneers of this year’s Making Strides programme and we want to shine a light and create awareness on neurodiversity and unemployment.
We have created a cover letter to share on social media to highlight the issues with neurodivergent people not being able to gain employment. We have also created a short video showing an interview that highlights some of the skills that neurodivergent young adults have and how they can be an asset to the workplace.”
