Mahindra Bolero & Bolero Neo Updated | Still Rugged, Still Relevant?

Описание: The festive season brings fresh updates to Mahindra Bolero and Bolero Neo. But are the changes enough to justify their continued dominance? Is Bolero still relevant?

Bolero Updates
The classic Bolero now gets a new Stealth Black colour, a redesigned grille with vertical slats, sharper headlamps, and diamond-cut alloys on the top-spec B8 variant. Inside, Mahindra has finally added a touchscreen infotainment system, steering-mounted controls, and USB-C charging. Leather seats in the B8 variant add a premium touch.

However, safety concerns remain. Side-facing rear seats with no seat belts remain unchanged. Beyond upholstery and wheels, the B8 variant feels too close to the B6 to justify its existence.
Bolero Neo Updates

The Bolero Neo now comes in a new “Jeans Blue” shade with a refreshed grille and new 16-inch alloys on the N11 variant. Inside, it features an 8.9-inch touchscreen and a new Lunar Grey upholstery that adds a dash of luxury, though keeping it clean may be tricky. That said, Mahindra has stuck to just two airbags, a missed chance to raise safety standards further.

Engines and Gearbox
Both models continue with the same engines as before, with no automatic gearbox option.

Verdict
The Bolero twins remain rugged, practical, and immensely popular, but the updates feel like minor touch-ups rather than a true step forward. With Mahindra’s new Freedom platform set to spawn the next-gen Bolero, this could well be the last update for these ladder-frame icons.
