In this Dharma talk, Sensei Tony explores the deeper meaning of the Samurai path and how it is often misunderstood. The true training is learning to stay grounded in the body, connected to the hara, and responsive to life rather than reactive to thoughts, emotions, or triggers.
Through stories from Zen practice, judo, aikido, and lived experience, this teaching shows how awareness is cultivated beyond the thinking mind. The Samurai trains to sense without the eyes, hear without the ears, and respond from the body before the mind takes over. This kind of training builds nervous system regulation, emotional maturity, and grounded presence.
