Описание: The Wild Party (1929) was directed by Dorothy Arzner and starred Clara Bow in her first talking picture. Produced by Paramount Pictures, it marked an important transition for Bow, one of silent film’s biggest stars, into the era of sound cinema.Dorothy Arzner, one of the very few female directors working in Hollywood at the time, helped Bow adapt to sound technology by innovatively using a microphone hidden in a flower bouquet, allowing for more natural acting. The film was shot at Paramount’s Astoria Studios in New York. The screenplay was based on a novel by Samuel Hopkins Adams and adapted for the screen by Ethel Doherty and Doris Anderson. Cinematography was by Victor Milner, and the film included a synchronized musical score and sound effects, typical of early sound features. The Wild Party was a major box office success and helped solidify Clara Bow’s career during a volatile time when many silent stars struggled with the arrival of talking pictures.
