2020 Giant Sweet Potato attempt, 1 slip!(First attempt, first record!)(Northern Star) - 150 days

Описание: Here's my giant/huge Sweet Potato attempt from 2020(so glad i got decent & enough footage of it xD)! Using 1 slip & 1 entire raised bed! (120cm x 120cm x 30cm) & 150 days of growth! Variety: Northern Star (purple skin, white flesh)

I've been growing Sweet Potato since 2017(but i bought the slip at the wrong time-end of season- & harvested tiny roots xD) after getting good harvests, i decided to try an attempt growing a tone of larg-er Sweet Potato roots(i never thought about a few roots growing extremely large!) so i ended using 1 entire raised garden bed for my attempt!

As it was growing, the base started to have a bump/push up & i was getting excited! I did my usual digging around the base with my hand, i felt some roots, but somehow missed the giant one xD after the leaves were turning yellow, i was excited to see what i would be getting! but what i saw was NOT what i was expecting at all and completely blew my mind with excitement!! xD :D

I can say my first attempt was a huge success & an actual heavy weight contender already for my future attempts! with 1 Sweet Potato root weighing 3.5kg along & a total weight of 9.86kg, i was over this world! :'D

I didn't make an attempt in 2021 because the bed was kinda destroyed(very old, broken and rotten joints!) after fixing the bed & amending the soil, i was ready for a 2022 attempt! :D
