SR20DET Upgrades - Intake Manifold / Coolant System / Throttle Body (Nissan S14/S15)

After deciding we needed a new intake manifold for the SR20DET Black Top Engine in our S14, we bought one off of NPBoosted.com. These manifolds are typically sold on eBay and Amazon, but you can also purchase them direct from their website. We couldn't find any reviews, or install guides, or any real information on them, so we decided to take a risk and try it out for ourselves.

In this continuation of our last couple videos, we finally get the NPBoosted Intake Manifold installed. We also add an inline thermostat, coolant neck spacer, and a Bosch e-throttle to the system. All of this makes for a very cleaned up and simple system.

Various Fittings Needed:

-6AN to -5 ORB (Male to Male) (x3)
-16AN to -16AN 90 degree elbow (Female to Female) (x1)
-16AN to -16 ORB (Male to Male) (x1)
1/2" NPT to -6AN (Male to Male) (x1)
-5 ORB Plug (x1)
-6AN Hose (1 ft should be enough, cut it to fit)
-6AN 45 degree Hose End (x1)
-6AN 90 degree Hose End (x1)


There are definite pros and cons to this NPBoosted manifold, and we recommend it for those who aren't afraid to come up with creative solutions when modifying their cars. It is not a plug and play type mod, and will definitely require some extra work to make it fit properly.
