An automatic half barrier level crossing found on a road bend on a quiet road just outside of Sandwich, with the A256 Sandwich Bypass road passing this level crossing on a flyover right near this level crossing. This level crossing has two reasonably-loud 'E2S' alarms, though one of these has a cable tie around it and sounds with a muffled tone. Fairly close to here is a footpath crossing (named Long Salts) which trains can quite clearly be heard sounding their horns for, regardless of direction. The 'Whistle Board' for Ramsgate / Minster-bound trains is just before this level crossing, so trains sound their horns as they pass. However, both trains seen in this video were heading towards Sandwich and Dover, so the horns can only be heard in the distance.
Thanks for watching!
