Summer Sewing Series! Episode Two: Quilted Wristlet Zipper Pouch • Handmade Projects for Beginners

Описание: Hello sweet friends, and welcome to Episode Two of my "Summer Sewing Series"!
In this Episode, we are creating a beautiful Zippered Wristlet Pouch, and increasing our zipper skills by using tabs to professionally finish the ends of the zipper. I show 2 different versions: the Open-Ended Tab and the Enclosed Tab. Deciding which to use will be according to your personal preference.
I am using 100% cotton fabric that I pre-wash in cool water and tumble dry on low.
To save time in the video, I pre-quilted my exterior fabric panel pieces.

To complete the Zippered Wristlet Pouch, you will need:
2- Exterior Fabric Pieces, cut to 9" wide by 7" high BEFORE QUILTING.
AFTER quilting and trimming, my pieces are 8-3/4" wide by 6-3/4" high
2- Batting Pieces, cut to 9-1/2" wide by 7-1/2" high (I use Polyfil Extra Loft, from Walmart)
You will quilt your exterior fabric panels, using a 1-1/4" spacing for your quilt lines
2- Interior Lining Fabric Pieces, cut to 8-3/4" wide by 6-3/4" high
2- Medium Weight Interfacing Pieces, cut to 8" wide by 6-1/4" (what I use, linked below)
2- Zipper Tabs, cut to 2-1/2" wide by 2-1/2" high
1- 10 inch Zipper, which will be cut to size. I purchase my #3 YKK nylon coil zippers from ZipIt on Etsy.
For the D-ring Tab you will need:
1- Fabric Tab, 3-1/2" by 3"
1- Batting/Interfacing, 3" by 3/4". I used Warm and White Cotton Batting from Hobby Lobby
1- D-ring 1 inch wide (what I use Linked below)
For the Wrist Strap, you will need:
1- Fabric piece, 14" by 3-1/2"
1- Batting/Interfacing, 13" by 3/4". I used Warm and White Cotton Batting from Hobby Lobby
1- Swivel Clasp Ring 1 inch wide (what I use Linked below)
Heat Erasable Marking Pens (what I use, linked below)
