Police have arrested a Muslim woman, Noor Sahida Begum, and taken her minor son into custody for allegedly bringing beef biryani to a government school in Krishnai village of Goalpara district of Assam. According to police, the ninth-grade student had brought beef biryani in his tiffin and offered it to two Hindu students, for which a case has been registered. On the other hand, some parents have denied the allegation and said that no attempt was made to force anyone to eat beef. Tension has arisen in the area after the incident, while the school administration is reportedly considering disciplinary action against five Muslim students.
