During a brutal -71°C winter blizzard in the mountains of Serbia, a mother owl returns to her nest with food for her baby. Suddenly, a violent snowstorm shakes the tree, causing the tiny owl chick to fall from the branch into the freezing snow.
The baby owl becomes unconscious and slowly freezes in the icy ground.
Desperate to save her chick, the mother owl flies to a nearby house and repeatedly calls for help, leading a kind 75-year-old grandmother back to the forest.
The grandmother carefully rescues the frozen owl chick and brings it home, warming and caring for it until it slowly regains its strength.
