Beautiful Fertility Carnival of the Andes: Tupay Carnaval

Описание: Every February high in the Andes mountains, in the department of Cusco, the descendants of the ancient K’ana people perform a very special carnival. On the surface, the Tupay carnival is simply a courtship dance about young singles meeting, but in reality, it is a ritualistic manifestation of a deeper Andean worldview. The man and woman actually represent the mating of alpacas through flirtatious dance, competitive verbal jousts, and haunting ancient pinkuyllu melodies.
