Join me on this video series as I show you our year-round planting and harvest of potatoes. Growing potatoes is not only fun, it can be very pragmatic. Especially when harvesting varieties that are not found at the local market and instead can be found for a premium at the farmers' market or premium grocer.
Additionally, urban homesteading oftentimes get mocked as an unattainable concept because of the inability for an urban garden to produce a sustained amount of caloric food. This is true when the approach is to grow large harvests where storage is a challenge. By growing in succession this solves the feast / famine outcome that makes urban homesteading unattainable.
