Applying to Catalyze: A program overview and review of the application process

June 18th, 2025 is the next deadline to submit your application to the Catalyze product definition program. To ensure you are prepared to submit a compelling application within the scope of Catalyze, this webinar focused on the current funding mechanisms and resources available through Catalyze and the application process. This webinar will help potential applicants better understand their project's fit and readiness for the program, as well as the most appropriate funding opportunity to support their project's development needs. Ample time was reserved for questions and answers.

As part of the registration for this event, registrants had the option to submit question(s) about Catalyze or the application process. A panel of Catalyze staff members best positioned to cover the identified topics was recruited. This presentation was for applicants intending to apply or re-apply to Catalyze, though anyone was welcome to attend free of charge.

The Catalyze program utilizes a new approach to translational research by supporting both the technical needs of an innovation and the management, commercialization, regulatory, and training requirements of the innovators developing them. Projects supported by Catalyze receive funding and advisory support through the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI), as well as project management assistance, access to technical services and expertise, and training opportunities through the Catalyze Coordinating Center.
