For years I’ve searched YouTube looking for decent highlights of this game. None existed. Tonight by accident I stumbled on this footage and did some filtering to improve color/sound. It was May of 1973. My brother Steve King and I were playing hockey in the basement when my mom tells me I’ve just been invited to go with my buddy Joe Morano and his Dad to game 6 of the Stanley Cup finals (Chicago vs. Montreal). This surprise invite came less than three hours before the game and would be my first playoff game in person. I could not believe it. Even though Chicago lost (Canadians won the Stanley Cup that night) the game remains to this day the most memorable, the loudest and most exciting sports event of my life. I always wore #7 when I played hockey and it was because Pit Martin of Chicago was my favorite player. He scored three beautiful goals that night and they are captured here. This will be a great addition to my YouTube channel and Chicago hockey memories.

Montreal wins the Cup in game 6 by a score of 6-4. Winning the Cup again in Chicago which they had done in 1971… also coming back from another 2-0 Chicago lead.
