Описание: India is set to host a major diplomatic gathering as foreign ministers from across the Arab world arrive in New Delhi for the second India–Arab Foreign Ministers’ Meeting on January 30 and 31. Only the second such meeting since 2016, the engagement signals a renewed push by India to deepen ties with the Arab world amid regional and global uncertainty.

Foreign ministers from Qatar, the UAE, Oman, Sudan, Palestine, Somalia, Mauritania, Comoros and Libya have confirmed participation, with Saudi Arabia represented at the vice-ministerial level. Representatives from nearly 22 Arab League countries are expected, alongside Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit, highlighting the meeting’s political significance.

The talks, chaired by External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar, are expected to focus on regional stability, the Palestinian issue, and emerging geopolitical challenges. Economic cooperation will be a major pillar, with discussions on trade, investment, energy security and the India–Middle East–Europe Economic Corridor.

Adding momentum to the engagement, India and Arab nations will also launch a new India–Arab Chamber of Commerce, aimed at institutionalising economic cooperation. Together, these developments underline India’s expanding diplomatic and economic footprint in the Arab world.
