London Fashion Week got the Liberty treatment with an in-store photoshoot – included on this season’s schedule by the British Fashion Council. Customers were invited to watch the creative team including Liberty Design Director Holly Marler and stylist Katie Shillingford in action for a sneak peek at Winter 2020 – a celebration of Liberty’s continuing contribution to eccentric British style, with our community placed firmly at the forefront.
The Winter 2020 collection from Liberty builds on from a Swinging London influence, with a look to Princess Margaret Rose, Queen Elizabeth’s nonconforming and glamorous younger sister. The collection is “classic, with an edge – just like the princess herself,” explains Design Director Holly Marler. “This sense of rebellion-meets-romance can be seen in the prints, for example with black leaves on pastels and falling petals. I think it reflects the Liberty ethos perfectly.”
