For this episode we’re in Clifton to experience Twin Lakes and their two munis that are less than an hour from the heart of the nation’s capital and feature a great juxtaposition of accuracy and forgiveness.
Run by Fairfax County, Twin Lakes Golf Course offers golfers the opportunity of a full day of golf with two 18-hole courses.
The Lakes Course was opened in 1967 and features a par-72 and 6,695-yard experience that requires more distance off the tee, but is much more forgiving than the Oaks Course.
The Oaks Course on the other hand was opened in 1998 and is a par 71 and 6,700 yards that will challenge all golfers; every hole but one is tree-lined on both sides of the fairway, making accuracy the primary goal off the tee but with multiple tees to ensure a fair test for all playing abilities.
