I’m in the middle of restoring my dream car — a 1997 Toyota MR2 — when a major problem out of nowhere derails the entire project. A delay I didn’t plan for, and definitely didn’t want.

With my daily driver suddenly out of the picture and the MR2 still in pieces, I had to make a move — fast. So we jumped on a train for a 4.5-hour trip to Kent to pick up a second car… and began the long 4.5-hour drive back home.

Halfway through the return journey, something just felt… off.
And let’s just say, that was only the beginning.
