A SHIFT | For the Nurses - Present Hands

Описание: This track was inspired by my work across mental health units throughout Queensland, where the teams I’ve worked alongside are more than colleagues, they’re family.

The nurses in these units consistently go above and beyond. Day after day, they show up with pride, resilience, humour, and care, often walking into challenging environments and giving 100% regardless of how the shift unfolds. This song is a tribute to them, to ENs, RNs, CNs, CNCs, NUMs, and the wider multidisciplinary teams who work together seamlessly to put patients first.

A Shift Start tells the story of beginning a day on the ward, the mindset, the responsibility, the compassion, and the quiet strength it takes to care for people experiencing acute mental health distress. It’s about presence, teamwork, dignity, and the human side of nursing that’s hard to describe unless you’ve seen it up close.

Musically, this track blends EDM and rap with an anthem feel, featuring floaty melodies, deep rhythmic drops, and emotive builds to reflect both the intensity and the heart behind the work.

This one’s for the nurses and the treating teams who hold the line every shift.
