Part 5 of my trip with BirdingBreaks to Oman. This part covers the remainder of day 7 (November 16, 2024) and the first part of day 8, which started with a pelagic trip. Filming fast flying birds from a rocking boat is always a challenge and this is the best I could manage. Some birds also flew so close to the boat that it was hard to capture them with my 100-400mm lens. Another challenging bird in this video was the Small pratincole. We were stoked to see this rare bird, but it was flying like a bird on speed. So lots of slow motion shots in this video. It was also nice to see the Spinner dolphins and a large sea turtle that I believe to be a Loggerhead (please correct me if I am wrong!). Also I thank Jillis Roos for letting me use his footage of the Yellow bittern.
