Au Burundi, les stéréotypes ou idées préconçues liés au genre, restent très marqués par une attribution des rôles et tâches aux hommes et aux femmes. Cette catégorisation des métiers par sexe crée des obstacles qui imposent des choix en dehors de toute liberté et peuvent restreindre l'égalité des chances. Cependant, certaines femmes et certains hommes ont pu dépasser ces stéréotypes.. elles/ils font la différence.

In Burundi, gender stereotypes or preconceived ideas are still very marked by the attribution of specific roles and tasks to men and women. This categorisation of jobs by sex creates obstacles that impose choices and can restrict equal opportunities. However, some women and men have been able to overcome these stereotypes.. and they make the difference in Burundi.
