대추 한 알
박기범
가을 저녁
마당 끝에
대추 한 알 떨어졌다
누가
저 작은 둥근 몸 안에
이렇게 긴 세월을 넣어 두었을까
햇빛 몇 번
비 몇 번
사람의 기다림 몇 번
그것들이
붉게 익어
조용히 매달려 있었구나
나는 오늘
대추 한 알을 손에 쥐고
사람의 향기도
이렇게 늦게 익는 것인가
가만히 생각한다
A Single Jujube

On an autumn evening,
At the edge of the yard,
A single jujube fell.
Who
Could have tucked such long years
Inside that small, round body?
A few dashes of sunlight,
A few rounds of rain,
And a few measures of human waiting.
All of those
Ripened into red
And hung there so quietly.
Today,
Holding a single jujube in my hand,
I wonder silently—
Does the scent of a person
Also ripen this late?
