How To Crochet a Wildlife Nest for Australian Fire Wildlife Rescue, or your own town's animal rescue! This how-to, follow-along video, is for beginner crocheters and is a great refresher for those coming back to the craft. The devastating wildfires in Australia have hurt so many people, homes and huge amount of wildlife. There was a call for crafters to help make crochet nests for little critters and birds, and many other knitting and sewing items to help comfort and contain sick and hurting rescued animals. Please see the Facebook groups I mention in the video. I follow along with the instructions they gave for these nests, with a small personal change in construction that still maintains the size, yarns asked for, and integrity of the nest they request. Remember to label your nest with size and yarn type. Let's learn to crochet these nests/baskets together!
