Hey, family! Tonight we’re speaking with a trailblazer. Ms. Anderson is the Chairwoman of the Muscogee County Georgia Democratic Committee. We’ll be discussing the challenges, responsibility and the humility it takes to be in such a prestigious position.
A little about Ms. Anderson: Royal Anderson, a native of St. Louis, Missouri and was raised within a military family. She
dedicated 25 years to the medical field as a registered nurse.
She is the mother of two children, both of whom are currently serving in the military; her son is a
recent college graduate from the University of Central Arkansas, and her daughter is a
sophomore at the University of North Georgia on a full ROTC Scholarship.
Ms. Anderson recently transitioned into the political sphere, contributing to both state and
federal campaigns over the last several years. Last year, she pursued the position of County
Coroner and garnered close to 40% of the vote as a first time candidate. She currently holds the
esteemed role of Muscogee County Democratic Committee Chair. Her future aspirations include
engagement in policymaking at the state level.
