Thanks for tuning in to another episode of This is My Lawn. Today we focus on our July fertilizer service. Our focus is a few things.

1. Recovery from Melting out and leaf spot fungus
2. Dog Urine spot prevention service
3. water retention
4. general fertilizer with focus on micro nutrients to help us keep that kentucky bluegrass out of heat stress dormancy

My primary focus for these categories is micro nutrients, calcium and sea kelp.

I decided to listen to you guys and shop at a local box store for items for my July service.

I picked up:

Calcium Sulfate called Cal-CM- Plus by ACG Materials for $15.99
cost per 1000ft2 is $2.56

Humates and Sea Kelp called Great 8 by Live Earth Products for $39.99
-cost per 1000ft2 is $1

Micro / Miners pack called Mikropak 2.5lbs for $14.99
Cost per 1000ft2 $0.68

Overall I feel this is a balanced fertilizer that meets all my needs. For you viewers at home you do not need to do a apply the fertilizer as heavy as I am. I'd recommend putting it down at 3lbs per 1000ft2 during the hot months. Focus on the miners, calcium, humates and sea kelp to help keep the lawn out of summer heat stress dormancy.
