Terri's sure that no guy will ever want her and she wants to skip the school dance. Spinner seems interested in her though, and Ashley and Paige convince her to let them make her over. Paige secretly wants Spinner for herself, and she plays on Terri’s insecurities - ultimately getting Terri into some overly sexy clothes and too much to drink. Terri turns Spinner off with her drunken behaviour and he ends up dancing with Paige while Terri throws up. Ashley's first night time dance is on trial by the school administration - but despite Terri's public drunkenness it's a success. But Spinner now seems to be Paige's.

Toby's figured out Online Officer, and he and JT skip the dance and cruise internet porn instead. They get caught when Jeff and Kate come home early and are humiliated when Jeff and Kate cruise with them to teach them a lesson.

Despite the fact that the boys are backing out and Manny's forbidden to go, Emma decides to attend the dance by herself and has a great time.

After a year's absence, Sean has returned to Degrassi to repeat Grade 7, with an air of mystery and perhaps just a hint of menace.
