The missing link: Integrating Enterprise Architecture and ITSM (and CMDB)
Webinar organized by itSMF and The Open Group:
0:00 Introduction (Patrik Solc)
00:48 Connecting EA and ITSM (Rob Akershoek)
9:24 EA + ITSM for DORA (Tomas Hornicek)
20:12 Integration between EA and ITSM at Shell (IT4IT Architect @ Shell)
Content:
Enterprise Architecture (EA) and IT Service Management (ITSM) often operate in siloes. Each having their own practices e.g. TOGAF (for EA) and ITIL (for ITSM), and each having their own tools e.g. an EA-system and an ITSM system with the CMDB (and discovery).
As a result, an organization doesn’t have an integrated view of how IT enables the business, from a business process down to the digital products and applications, to underlying technologies and infrastructure resources. The EA system and CMDB are incomplete and often out of date. This results into higher IT costs, increased technology debt, security issues, unplanned outages, and poor customer experience.
This disconnected reality has become a key impediment for professionalizing and maturing the IT organization, an obstacle to deliver faster and safer, while ensuring compliance (such as GDPR, NIS2 and DORA), improve sustainability and reduce costs.
Listen to this recorded webinar to learn more about the HOW and WHY of integrating Enterprise Architecture and IT Service Management.
Learn from Frank van der Wolf about the integration between Enterprise Architecture and IT Service Management at Shell, as well as from Tomas Hornicek about the importance of EA/ITSM integration to manage compliance management (such as DORA and NIS2).
