First Forest Flight with the DJI Neo 2 — A Tiny Companion in the First Snow

Описание: This was my first flight above a forest with the DJI Neo 2 — filmed during the first snowfall of the year — and a good moment to see how this tiny drone handles height, cold air, and the transition from open fields to tree-covered terrain.

I started the morning with a walk across the fields, covered in about five centimeters of fresh snow. Not a deep layer, but enough to turn the landscape completely white. In the forest the snow was thinner, and that contrast made the aerial view even more interesting.

In my previous Neo 2 video I flew both low and high, but not yet above a forest in winter conditions. In this video you’ll see how the Neo 2 deals with drifting cold air between the treetops, how stable it remains at altitude, and how much detail it can capture in a snowy landscape.

Flying in snow isn’t recommended — moisture and electronics don’t mix — but it’s fascinating to explore what a small drone like this can do in different environments. Footage was recorded in the standard settings: 4K, 60 fps.

Edited in DaVinci Resolve with basic colour adjustments, a LUT, music, a few subtle sound effects, and the usual bit of creativity and patience.
