Global manufacturing index rises to highest in 3 years

With the global economy recovering,... manufacturing around the world has also given its best performance in three years.
The global Purchasing Managers' Index, compiled by financial industry tracker, IHS Markit,... came to 53-point-5 in October,... the highest since November of 2014.
A PMI over 50 means manufacturing is growing -- below 50, it's shrinking.
The figure has been rising for four months in a row.
Analysts attribute the new highs to manufacturing growth in the Eurozone and Japan,... which also saw record highs of 58-point-5 and 52-point-8, respectively.
Korea's PMI was down slightly at 50-point-2, on lower demand from China.
