BANGKOK FOOD RECOMMENDATIONS
Tropical Summer Cafe & Hostel
https://maps.app.goo.gl/hJcYkbxJqDGS1...
This hostel was amazing to stay at with an outstanding view on the rooftop. The cafe in the lobby was even better..their Ka Prow breakfast dish was so fucking good I had to order it both mornings in a row!!!
Hunger Bar & Grill

This was the spot I had the pad thai at. While I was hesitant to recommend this spot because it was pretty good but not worth going out of your way for, this was a phenomenal spot given the time of day we arrived. So basically, if you're arriving into Bangkok late at night & want dinner, they're open late!
THE SIXTH
https://maps.app.goo.gl/Fpqku6PHBxCUz...
This was the spot I had phenomenal panang curry at. An absolute perfect lunch spot to have during all the site seeing in close-proximity to the palace & temples. I pride myself so much for having researched to have lunch here because I saw a local tour guide bring his whole group here..truly as authentically Thai as it gets..
BANGKOK ATTRACTION RECOMMENDATIONS
Wat Arun
https://maps.app.goo.gl/bhNnZSki3Phud...
This was an amazing start to our day of exploring all the temple sites. While it is small, it is a great preview of the day you're about to have & the temple structures have SO MUCH precision/attention to detail with the painting. Best of all, it is also a perfect geographic starting point as it is right across the river from the palace & other temples to see! The boat station is conveniently located in the back & it was very cheap & easy to get on!
Wat Phra
https://maps.app.goo.gl/vGykb76TwEphK...
Definitely a jaw-dropping temple worth visiting. From much more temple structures than Wat Arun to the Buddhist statues to the famous reclining Buddha, this temple is a must-go when visiting Bangkok!!
Temple of Emerald Buddha/Grand Palace
https://maps.app.goo.gl/FSg9KxFBt49oQ...
While I had not originally planned on visiting here, I was surprised I did not include it on the list as it was very captivating!! The temple structures here had more variety than the last two temples and on top of that you can participate in the Buddhism gatherings here! The Grand Palace was also cool to see. Be sure you wear pants or else you're stuck having to buy Thai pants from a vendor outside of the entrance..I learned the hard way. I'm scarred cause I bought some that were way too huge & the hundreds of tourists in there were all wearing perfectly-sized Thai pants..
Chatuchak Weekend Market
https://maps.app.goo.gl/ZP6Bna5jobz3P...
My best friend & I spent a lot of time souvenir shopping this trip and always had fun doing it. While there are other market options (especially more within the city & not in the outskirts like this one), this is the one reddit led me to as they had great prices & great varieties of authentic Thai products/souvenirs. I got the famous Thai "smelling" thing for your nose from here & some (properly fitted) cool Thai pants!

Couple typos I wanted to mention here..technically there was another evening flight option with Thai Airways but it was so highly priced we didn't even consider them an option lmao
Another thing too, if you are a U.S. passport holder, you do not need a visa to enter into Thailand (as of 2025/26)! Just fill out a TDAC (arrival form) before departure & you'll be squared away
