Why does the size of a probation caseload matter? Research tells us that one of the best indicators of success for probation clients is the relationship they are able to build with their probation officer. With huge and unmanageable caseload sizes, officers are not able to build the relationship with their client that is so critical to success and community safety.
Hear Probation Chiefs speak about how funding from SB 678 (The Public Safety Performance Incentives Act of 2010) helped impact addressing caseload size and has allowed probation to charter new territory in how to better protect our communities while helping rebuild the lives of their clients.
