The Ken Hanson Band mixes blues, funk, and vintage soul/R&B to create a unique, fresh sound, fueled by Ken Hanson's soulful voice, Todd Mauvais on saxophone and a solid rhythm section.
We met them in North Portland during a practice session, where they were not only busy playing, but charting their original songs as well to get two new members up to speed. They play shows regularly each month at Buffalo Gap and Rock Bottom Brewery, as well as various other gigs around town. They're also working on their next album.
