Rihanna's cover of 'Same Ol' Mistakes' is without a doubt one of my favorite tracks of all time and whilst watching "You Got Served" yesterday (LOL!), I was reminded of the classic Kool & The Gang track, "Summer Madness" (which Aaliyah sampled on 'A Girl Like You'), and instantly knew I had to somehow create a combination of the two. It was actually a lot more difficult than I thought - due to the different timing of each tracks - as 'Summer Madness' doesn't have any set BPM, it's just free form grooving. I had to isolate all of the instruments in 'Same Ol' Mistakes' to create my own stems to the best of my ability as well. I really think it turned out pretty well though! Hope you guys enjoy it!
