UL no longer publishes the bright orange books; therefore, the best way to find the most current UL certified fire designs is to access UL’s next-generation online certification directory.
This presentation describes the most effective and efficient way to locate fire rated roof-ceilings, walls and partitions, floor-ceilings, beams and columns certified to US based requirements for an hourly fire-resistance rating per UL 263. The fire-resistant properties of gypsum board are covered as well as the various modifications permitted in certified UL fire-rated assemblies.
