Hey, what's happening YouTube?
I activated William Randolph Hearst Memorial State Beach today, POTA Park US-6448. I brought my Homebrew 40 Meter Loading Coil I made from KB9VBR's video, link below, and it worked great. In the video, I said Salty Walt's, but it was Mike Martens video. Although, winds were too high to keep trying 40 meters. The antenna looked like it was going to snap in the high winds, so I switched to 17 meters and lowered the whip. Also, I forgot my coax, so I activated using a 4 foot jumper cable on the ground close to the antenna.
