A purebred & registered British Shorthair can cost around £1000 in the UK, up to $1800 in the US, and up to $2000 in Australia. If you purchase a cat through an unregistered breeder then you can expect the cost to be up to 4x lower, but there is no certification or guarantee that your cat is a healthy purebred, hence the much lower value.
