Описание: In this War Thunder video, I take the IRIS-T SLM into battle to see how this modern long-range SAM system performs when the pressure is on. Built around advanced tracking, high missile agility, and extended engagement ranges, the IRIS-T SLM is designed to lock down the sky and punish anything that wanders into its coverage. On paper, it looks like the perfect top-tier air-denial platform — but its limitations in mobility, survivability, and reaction windows demand precise timing and smart positioning to get the most out of it.

In this match, I work to maximize everything the SLM does well: finding strong sightlines, managing radar exposure, timing launches to catch jets in vulnerable moments, and maintaining full situational awareness as the battlefield shifts. At the same time, every mistake — from bad radar discipline to a poorly judged shot — can leave you exposed or outplayed. Through careful placement, smart target selection, and disciplined missile usage, I try to answer the question of whether the IRIS-T SLM is just a flashy modern SAM — or a genuinely dominant tool that can reshape the entire flow of a match when used correctly.
