Описание: Searching for long lost colonial homesites deep in the woods of New Hampshire.
We took a big hike in this massive forest at which at one time during the 1700s had colonial settlers living their lives. We see the remains of the abandoned farms from what is left of the old cart paths, old stone walls and sometimes the cellar holes. The old foundations from houses is the big giveaway that you are standing on a site that was once a family's home. We crossed old stone bridges on our way up to hill tops to discover land that had been improved for agriculture. We crossed rivers that wound their way around old farm fields and it made for a wonderful hiking adventure looking for NH history.
