Chaos erupted outside the National Congress in Buenos Aires as thousands of students, university staff, and labor union members took to the streets for the massive "Federal March." Protesting President Javier Milei’s severe public education budget cuts and demanding the enforcement of the University Funding Law, demonstrations turned violent when clashes broke out with federal police. Officers deployed tear gas and water cannons against rock-throwing demonstrators, leading to dozens of arrests and multiple injuries. With university spending reportedly down over 40% in real terms, the confrontation highlights boiling nationwide anger over ongoing austerity measures.
