Hate Crime Awareness Week

Описание: Hate crime is any criminal offence which is perceived by the victim or any other person, to be motivated by hostility or prejudice towards a person based on their race, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or gender identity.

We understand that experiencing a hate crime is extremely distressing and upsetting. We are proud to police our diverse communities and will take action against those who commit a hate crime.

We shape our approach through discussions with partner agencies, representative groups and victims, in order to help vulnerable communities as much as we can.

As well as us, there are a whole range of support services that offer help, guidance and support around hate crime. You can see several of these in the useful links section.

You should also remember that if you would rather not speak to us directly, there are lots of third-party reporting centres across the West Midlands where you can report incidents of hate crime.
