Amid buzz over former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath's possible cross over to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), sources in the Congress have said that the senior leader is contemplating a switch, as the party's leadership denied him a Rajya Sabha ticket.

The rumours of senior Congress leader Kamal Nath planning to switch to BJP were a "conspiracy" against the veteran leader, Madhya Pradesh Congress chief Jitu Patwari said on Sunday. The former Chief Minister will remain in Congress till the end, he added.

"The rumours that Kamal Nath going to BJP. This is an example of how media can be misused. This was a conspiracy made against Kamal Nath,” the state Congress president Patwari said.
