The Transpennine Route Upgrade work at Mirfield and Ravensthorpe features in this video. The new Platform 1 and fresh track are taking shape at the reconfigured Mirfield Railway Station, in Kirklees, near Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, ahead of the Christmas closure, running from December 23 to December 27, 2025, to complete much of the work. At Ravensthorpe, Calder Road
ad remains closed for road realignment work as the new road bridge progresses, while the old Ravensthorpe Station is now closed, to be replaced by a new station 200m west I'm 2028.
