CMTRF is funding an exciting project with 82VS, the Venture Studio of Alloy Therapeutics, to solve one of the toughest problems in Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease; getting RNA-based therapies to the peripheral nerves and cells damaged by CMT.
This CMTRF-funded project uses specially designed antibodies to guide RNA therapies directly to nerve cells. If successful, it could open the door to an entirely new class of treatments for CMT1A and lay the groundwork for therapies that help many other forms of the disease.
Dr. Loya talks through the challenge of delivering treatments to nerves, share early encouraging results from this CMTRF-funded project, and discuss what this approach could mean for the future of CMT care.
