JSON supports 6 data types:
Simple types:
• String – "name": "Alice"
• Number – "age": 30
• Boolean – "isActive": true
• Null – "middleName": null
Complex types:
• Object – key-value pairs { }
• Array – ordered lists [ ] (Primitive and Objects)
Pro tips:
• JSON can be nested to model real data
• Keys must use double quotes
• No trailing commas allowed
• Whitespace improves readability
