If you have less space in your apartment and access to some gardening space with soil I recommend to stick with bokashi since it's faster.

The bokashi needs some additional month in contact with soil and/or vermicompost to fully become converted into more regular soil with plant-available nutrients. The vermicompost is ready to go but also needs to be "diluted" with normal soil for optimal effect.
