We start with a look at what he calls “The California Christine,” his newest addition fresh off a custom upgrade at RanDale’s Custom Stitch Shop. From the $200-per-yard Christine movie-accurate upholstery to the green-lit 150 MPH instrument cluster, this Belvedere has been brought to a level even Arnie Cunningham would envy.
But Barclay’s love for Christine doesn’t stop there. His “Forever Christine,” the very first car in his growing collection of tribute builds, recently took 1st Place at the 23rd Annual Pacific Car Show in Pacific, Missouri. This one feature fuel injection, modern electronics, and countless personal touches that make it truly one of a kind. Barclay calls it his “true love,” and once you see it, you’ll understand why.
In just a few short years, Barclay has restored or customized nine Christine tribute cars, with more on the way, including two wagons and a Hellcat-powered Pro Street he affectionately calls “Hellen.” Stay tuned for that beast in a future episode—it’s not one you’ll want to miss!
Helping fuel Barclay’s obsession is “Fury Jim,” a living encyclopedia of Plymouth Fury knowledge and reproduction parts.
